Assistant Product Manager

About the role

Join a dynamic team at the forefront of children’s furniture and educational products. As an Assistant Product Manager you will support the product function, gaining hands‑on experience across market research, supplier management and product development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Attend trade shows and factory/supplier visits in the UK and internationally.
• Assist in managing existing product ranges and contribute to the development of new products.
• Ensure quality expectations are met throughout product development and production.
• Collaborate with the in‑house design team to create clear product specifications.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and specifications.
• Liaise with suppliers on manufacturing feasibility and compliance.
• Manage suppliers from purchase order to goods receipt.
• Oversee pre‑shipment inspections and investigate customer returns or quality issues.

Required profile

• Proven track record in a similar product management or development role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information clearly.
• Excellent organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
