Assistant Project Manager Construction Consultancy

About the role

We are a growing construction consultancy based in Kent looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support residential developments ranging from £3 million to £50 million. You will work alongside experienced Project Managers and senior leaders, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle while building a long‑term career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of residential schemes from inception to completion.
• Assist with programme management, consultant coordination and procurement support.
• Provide contract administration, project reporting, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
• Attend client and site meetings, liaise with contractors and consultants, and prepare project documentation.
• Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.
• Progress to independently delivering smaller projects while continuing to support senior colleagues on larger developments.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a construction consultancy environment.
• Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Graduate Project Manager on residential projects.
• Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or related field.
• Working towards MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or similar professional qualification.
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction project delivery.
• Strong communication, organisational and client‑facing skills with a proactive attitude.
