Assistant Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of our Edinburgh store. You will work up to 45 hours per week, with overtime paid or taken as time off in lieu, and help deliver an excellent customer experience while meeting challenging sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Share joint responsibility for the daily running of the store.
• Lead a small team of 4‑6 staff members by example.
• Motivate the team to achieve sales targets and deliver great customer service.
• Provide honest product advice, build rapport with customers and guide them through choices.
• Maintain high standards of store presentation and product knowledge across the range.
• Assist with stock management and ensure accurate record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail or sales‑focused environment.
• Supervisory or junior management experience, ideally in a hard‑goods setting.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and basic computer literacy.
• Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude and desire to succeed.
