Assistant Town Planner – Join Leading Care & Residential Developer

About the role

We are supporting a leading care and residential developer in the South East of England. As an Assistant Town Planner you will join an in‑house planning team that delivers purpose‑built care and residential schemes across the UK, gaining exposure to the full development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals.
• Conduct planning policy research and site appraisals.
• Draft planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Monitor planning applications and advise on strategy.
• Support senior team members on a diverse range of development projects.

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Working towards MRTPI status or a genuine desire to pursue chartership.
• Previous experience in a planning consultancy, developer or local authority environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach to professional development.
