About the role

We are looking for an Associate Director – Commercial Management to lead the commercial delivery of complex Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure programmes across Norfolk. You will act as the senior NEC adviser to our clients, shaping strategy through to final account and driving the growth of our commercial function.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead commercial management on large‑scale Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure commissions from strategy development to final account.
  • Provide senior commercial and NEC (NEC3/NEC4) advice to clients, handling early warnings, compensation events, change control and defined cost.
  • Establish proportionate, compliant commercial governance that supports project delivery.
  • Oversee valuations, forecasting, reporting, claims, variations and final accounts, intervening with senior judgement when required.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team while contributing to the wider Commercial Management leadership.
  • Support repeat business with existing clients and assist in winning new work leveraging your sector reputation.

Required profile

  • Proven experience at Senior Commercial Manager, Lead Quantity Surveyor or Associate Director level.
  • Strong, practical experience of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts across Options A, B and C.
  • Background in Energy, Utilities or major Infrastructure projects.
  • Confident working directly with senior client stakeholders and recognised in the sector or region.
  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, MRICS or equivalent.
  • SME mindset with comfort in high visibility and accountability.
  • Ideally an existing network and at least one client relationship you can bring.
