Associate Director – Conduct & Compliance Risk (Americas & UK/EU)

About the role

The Associate Director, Conduct & Compliance Risk (Americas & UK/EU) will sit within ANZ's Institutional Division Conduct and Compliance Centre of Expertise. You will be responsible for embedding best‑practice conduct and compliance risk management across the bank’s operations in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply Group risk policies, standards and regulatory obligations related to conduct and compliance across the region.
• Lead impact assessments and implementation activities arising from regulatory, policy or risk‑standard changes.
• Execute regulatory change programmes, delivering governance outcomes and supporting institutional oversight.
• Inform inherent and residual risk assessments for conduct and regulatory risks across value chains and countries.
• Conduct thematic reviews to identify control gaps, weaknesses and emerging risks, and support remediation activities.
• Partner with frontline teams, enterprise risk experts and governance & reporting functions to strengthen first‑line risk ownership.

Required profile

• Proactive, collaborative risk professional with strong influencing abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in conduct and compliance risk within a banking or financial services environment.
• Ability to provide clear risk insights and drive accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
