Associate Director – Quantity Surveying (Strategic Leadership)

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Associate Director of Quantity Surveying to lead our Oxford‑based division. This senior position blends strategic business development with high‑level technical oversight of multi‑million‑pound life‑science and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development and fee generation across the Oxford Golden Triangle.
• Manage the divisional P&L, ensuring profitability and growth.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑contract cost management for large‑scale developments.
• Lead feasibility studies, procurement strategies and final account negotiations.
• Offer strategic cost advice for specialised R&D and life‑science facilities.
• Mentor and expand the QS team, sourcing talent for future pipelines.

Required profile

• MRICS chartered status (essential).
• Established professional network within the Oxford Golden Triangle.
• Proven commercial acumen with a track record of business development and high‑value client relationships.
• Experience in managing complex, high‑value life‑science and commercial projects.
• Right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship available.
