Associate Director – Surveying Services (MRICS)

About the role

Our client is seeking an MRICS‑qualified Associate Director to lead high‑quality surveying services across commercial, residential and public‑sector portfolios. You will be responsible for delivering refurbishment, fit‑out and maintenance projects through all RIBA stages while supporting junior surveyors and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver refurbishment, fit‑out and maintenance projects up to £1m, ensuring quality, compliance and commercial performance.
• Provide dilapidations, technical due diligence, PPM and asset‑management services.
• Offer expert technical advice to clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Oversee fund‑monitoring commissions and reporting.
• Mentor APC candidates and junior team members.
• Contribute to business development, client retention and decarbonisation strategies.

Required profile

• MRICS qualification or equivalent senior‑level experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction and contract administration.
• Proven experience delivering projects and professional services in a client‑facing environment.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Commercially aware, motivated and capable of working autonomously.
