Associate – Investment Companies & Funds

About the role

Jefferies is seeking an Associate to join its UK Investment Banking team in London, focusing on the Investment Companies and Funds sector. The role offers exposure to M&A, strategic advisory, equity capital markets and fundraising transactions for investment trusts, listed funds, REITs, infrastructure funds and other alternative vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Support execution of M&A, strategic advisory, ECM and fundraising deals, coordinating due‑diligence and managing workstreams.
• Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses and transaction materials for client engagements.
• Conduct market, industry and company research to underpin client recommendations.
• Assist in drafting offering memoranda, management presentations, board materials and transaction documentation.
• Collaborate with senior bankers to identify new business opportunities and prepare pitch books.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to high‑quality deliverables across the team.

Required profile

• Motivated investment banking professional with experience in transaction execution.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work closely with senior bankers, clients and external advisers.
• Interest in the investment companies, funds and alternative asset manager space.
