Attorney – Equity Derivatives (VP & Assistant General Counsel)

About the role

Bank of America is seeking an experienced Attorney to join its Equity Derivatives legal team in London. The role sits at Vice President & Assistant General Counsel level and provides senior legal advice across the bank’s equity‑derivatives activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support and counsel to the Equities, Fixed Income, Credit and Commodities businesses on equity‑derivatives transactions.
• Advise on issuance platforms and related regulatory matters as part of the Issuance Platforms Legal sub‑team.
• Collaborate with a team of 31 EMEA Equities lawyers, including seven dedicated to Platforms Legal, to ensure consistent legal guidance.
• Participate in internal and external mentoring programmes to develop junior lawyers and promote diversity within the legal profession.

Required profile

• Current corporate title of Vice President & Assistant General Counsel or equivalent senior legal experience.
• Demonstrated experience in equity‑derivatives or capital markets law.
• Ability to work closely with multiple business lines and provide trusted advisory services.
