Audit & Accounts Manager

About the role

This is a senior position that sits between the partners and the wider audit team, giving you real influence over how work is delivered and how clients are served. You will help shape the firm’s strategic direction while ensuring high‑quality audit and accounts work for a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of audit and accounts assignments, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
• Act as the primary liaison between partners and the audit team, maintaining clear communication and workflow.
• Own client relationships, serving as a trusted point of contact for strategic advice.
• Develop junior and senior staff by identifying strengths and creating growth opportunities.
• Contribute to the commercial growth of the firm and support partners on strategic projects.
• Challenge existing processes and propose more efficient approaches.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience at manager level within audit and accounts practice.
• Track record of delivering high‑standard work while managing competing priorities.
• Strong client‑relationship skills with confidence in senior‑level conversations.
