Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior

About the role

We are seeking an Audit & Accounts Semi‑Senior to join a respected Chartered Accountancy firm in Eastleigh. This role will support the Audit & Assurance team in delivering high‑quality audit services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits in line with professional standards and statutory requirements.
• Prepare financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports.
• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, including risk assessment and testing.
• Gather relevant information from clients and respond to their queries.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments.
• Support senior team members on ad‑hoc assignments and projects.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a reputable accounting firm.
• Solid understanding of auditing principles and financial reporting standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
