Audit & Accounts Senior – Hybrid (Bedfordshire)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join a growing accounting practice in Bedfordshire on a hybrid basis. You will lead full‑cycle audit engagements, ensure compliance with UKGAAP and IFRS, and support a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end audit engagements for mid‑market and private clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit team members.
• Conduct risk assessments and design audit procedures.
• Evaluate internal controls and document findings.
• Prepare and review financial statements, notes, and audit documentation.
• Serve as primary client contact, managing information requests.
• Identify material financial risks and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support business development activities such as client onboarding and proposal drafting.

Required profile

• ACCA or ACA qualification (or studies underway) with solid audit experience.
• Proven track record of managing audit engagements from planning to completion.
• Strong technical understanding of UKGAAP and IFRS.
• Full‑time availability and own vehicle.
