Audit and Accounts Senior / Semi‑Senior

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Audit and Accounts Senior or Semi‑Senior to join our growing chartered accountancy practice in Croydon. The role offers a permanent, full‑time position within a friendly, owner‑managed business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments for a portfolio of clients.
• Execute statutory audit work and prepare statutory accounts under the guidance of managers or partners.
• Produce management accounts, VAT returns and other tax filings.
• Supervise and review the work of junior staff members.
• Prepare working schedules and deliver them to the assignment manager or partner on time.
• Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the engagement.

Required profile

• ACCA or ICAEW qualified or part‑qualified accountant.
• 1‑3 years of in‑practice experience.
• Familiarity with UK financial reporting standards.
• Experience of statutory audit and statutory tax work.
• Background in management accounting, VAT reporting and bookkeeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
