Audit Assistant Manager – Financial Services

About the role

BDO is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join its Financial Services audit team. You will work with high‑growth, entrepreneurial clients, delivering high‑quality audits that support the public interest and build trust with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and review audit engagements for financial services clients.
• Identify and assess risk matters, raise issues with senior managers or partners, and apply professional judgement.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines, ensure deliverables are completed within agreed schedules, and raise any issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with audited entities throughout the year.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, ICAS or an overseas equivalent.
• Experience supervising and coaching junior team members.
• Proactive, able to work independently and collaborate effectively with senior staff.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current economic and market trends.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of UK and International GAAS.
• Familiarity with IFRS, UK GAAP and broader financial reporting requirements.
• Understanding of financial products, regulatory frameworks and anti‑money‑laundering compliance.
