Audit Semi‑Senior – Glasgow

About the role

TC Alexander Sloan is seeking an Audit Semi‑Senior to join its Glasgow office. You will support the External Audit Department by delivering high‑quality audit assignments, assisting seniors and partners, and developing the expertise needed to progress to an Audit Senior within 6‑12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out audit fieldwork in line with the audit plan and firm procedures.
• Investigate irregularities, assess controls and systems, and identify key audit risks.
• Assist with audit planning, including risk identification and mitigation strategies.
• Provide recommendations to improve client systems and internal controls.
• Maintain up‑to‑date audit knowledge and attend relevant training.
• Support commercial awareness of productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service.
• Perform any other reasonable tasks requested by partners or clients.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA professional with at least one year of audit experience.
• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple workloads.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary of £25,000‑£27,000 per year (visible).
• 35‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday, with flexible hours policy.
