About the role

TPF Recruitment represents a distinguished independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Southampton. The firm offers audit exposure comparable to larger firms while maintaining the work‑life balance of an independent practice. We are looking for a skilled Audit Senior or Semi‑Senior to join our expanding audit team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits of client accounts, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and accounting standards.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, meeting strict deadlines and budgets.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development.
• Perform detailed risk assessments and identify process‑improvement opportunities for clients.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, recommendations, and improvement areas.
• Liaise with clients to address queries, provide advice, and build strong relationships.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline audit procedures and enhance service delivery.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or part‑qualified).
• Previous experience in external audit within an accounting firm.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and colleague interaction.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
