Audit Senior – Glasgow

About the role

TC Alexander Sloan is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its Glasgow office. You will lead audit engagements, working closely with partners, managers and junior staff to deliver high‑quality audit services that exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, fieldwork and finalisation of audit assignments.
• Conduct audit fieldwork in line with the firm’s procedures and audit plan.
• Investigate irregularities, assess controls and systems, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Identify key audit risks, develop mitigation strategies and produce audit findings reports.
• Supervise, train and mentor junior team members (Audit Semi‑Seniors and Assistants).
• Maintain up‑to‑date audit knowledge and attend relevant training.
• Support commercial objectives such as productivity, fee recoverability and client service.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or part‑qualified.
• Minimum two years’ experience in audit within an accountancy practice.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and meet client expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
• Good understanding of auditing standards, accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

What we offer

• Salary range £28,000 – £38,000 (dependent on experience).
