Audit Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Supervisor to join a fast‑growing accountancy practice. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality audit services to a portfolio of clients, both in the office and on client sites, while supporting the audit department’s management team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed portfolio of small to medium‑sized audit clients, depending on experience.
• Plan, lead, and complete audits from start to finish.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and review their work.
• Design and deliver audit files with minimal review points.
• Offer technical expertise to develop audit solutions.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements.
• Conduct staff appraisals at the end of each audit.
• Supervise and assist junior staff as needed.
• Liaise with clients and HMRC, maintaining strong relationships.
• Handle ad‑hoc duties in line with business requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with experience leading audits.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong analytical, research and communication skills.
• Proactive, ownership‑driven attitude with a commitment to self‑development.
• Ability to build relationships and manage workload effectively.
