Aviation Business Development Lead

About the role

The Aviation Business Development Lead will drive growth initiatives for a medium‑sized organisation operating in the Aviation & Distribution sector. Based in Braintree, this field‑based position focuses on expanding the company’s network, securing new contracts, and strengthening relationships with key industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to increase revenue in the aviation market.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within transport and distribution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, cargo partners, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to spot opportunities and threats.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with corporate objectives.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Analyse sales performance data and provide actionable insights.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales or business development within the aviation or distribution industry.
• Strong understanding of the commercial landscape of aviation.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to meet targets.
• Experience working with Chinese airlines or air‑cargo partnerships is a strong advantage.
