AWS AI Architect – 6‑Month Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an AWS AI Architect to join a leading insurance client in Guildford on a 6‑month contract. The role is hybrid, with three days per week on‑site, and focuses on designing and delivering cutting‑edge Agentic AI solutions that drive measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous, multi‑agent AI systems using AWS‑native services such as Bedrock, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and delivery teams to embed AI capabilities into enterprise applications, workflows, and operating models.
• Demonstrate modern AI solutions to clients, articulating technical capabilities, business outcomes, and implementation approaches.
• Translate high‑level concepts into actionable architecture and design guidance for engineering teams.
• Develop AI‑powered assistants, agents, and intelligent workflow solutions leveraging Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and advanced orchestration techniques.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and frameworks to drive innovation and best practice.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of solution architecture experience, including 2‑3 years focused on AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade Agentic AI solutions on hyperscaler cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience in the insurance sector is a plus.
• Eligibility for SC clearance is highly desirable.

Required skills

• AWS services – Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions, and related AI services.
• Agentic frameworks – LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Agent Development Kit (ADK) or equivalents.
• AI engineering platforms – Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex AI.
• RAG architectures, multi‑agent systems, intelligent workflow automation, AI‑powered assistants.
