AWS Cloud Operations Engineer (Night Shift)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to work night shifts (10 pm – 6 am) on a large government project. The position is fully remote and requires eligibility for security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise AWS cloud platforms supporting critical public‑sector services.
• Maintain Linux systems, container environments and Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and manage networking, compute and storage resources.
• Administer databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and Amazon Aurora.
• Ensure security, scalability and high availability of all services.

Required profile

• Proven experience with AWS services (EKS, ECS, EC2, RDS, IAM, VPC).
• Strong Linux systems administration background.
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Database administration experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora).
• Eligibility for UK government security clearance.
