Azure Data Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a growing technology consultancy to find an experienced Azure Data Engineer. The role is customer‑facing, based in London with a hybrid working model, and involves designing and delivering modern Azure‑based data solutions for enterprise clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Build data models and analytics solutions with Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes.
• Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements and deliver robust data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data issues, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and high‑performing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data engineering services.
• Hands‑on expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics and Data Lake Storage.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala or SQL.
• Knowledge of data modelling and analytics solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in a client‑facing environment.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude.
