B2 Engineer – Base Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled B2 Engineer to join our Base Maintenance team at Brize Norton. Working alongside the Shift Manager, you will certify aircraft maintenance tasks, ensuring safety, compliance and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Certify aircraft servicing and maintenance tasks within your scope of authorisation, adhering to quality and regulatory standards.
• Supervise and support technical staff, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with approved documentation.
• Maintain accurate aircraft documentation and certification entries.
• Control materials, tooling and equipment, keeping the work environment clean and safe.
• Liaise with Technical Services, Planning and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and meet schedules.

Required profile

• Hold a CAA B2 licence with A330 type rating and relevant company authorisation.
• Proven experience certifying maintenance in a Base Maintenance environment.
• Strong understanding of team working within a zonal structure.
• Experience in wiring repair and modification, and supporting short‑notice AOG recoveries.

Required skills

• Use of industry‑standard technical data systems and man‑hour recording tools.
• Ability to take ownership and deliver objectives within agreed timescales.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external agencies.
