Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse – Flexible Day & Night Shifts

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our agency roster for long day and night shifts across a variety of mental health services in Salisbury. This role offers flexible, agency‑based work within inpatient mental health settings, allowing you to support patients while balancing your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate mental health nursing care.
• Conduct patient assessments and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer medication in line with NMC guidelines and local policies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and accurately document patient progress.
• Respond appropriately to challenging situations, ensuring safety for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid NMC registration.
• Minimum six months recent NHS or UK mental health experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast‑paced clinical environments.
• PMVA/MAPA training is desirable but not essential.
