Band 5 Staff Nurse – Rehabilitation Hospital

About the role

Join the multidisciplinary team at Clayponds Rehabilitation Hospital and provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to adults recovering from illness or injury. As a Band 5 Staff Nurse you will support patients on their rehabilitation journey, promoting independence and safe discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for rehabilitation patients.
• Deliver evidence‑based nursing interventions and administer medication safely.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other professionals to coordinate care plans.
• Support junior staff, nursing students and contribute to their learning and development.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC‑registered) with eligibility to work in the UK.
• Demonstrated ability to work compassionately within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, patient‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Safe medication administration.
• Accurate clinical documentation.
• Basic use of electronic patient record systems.
