Band 8a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist – NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Band 8a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join the Specialist Children’s Services within North CAMHS. Based at Woodside Health and Care Centre, you will work with children, young people and families facing complex mental health challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver autonomous, evidence‑based systemic assessments and therapy to children, young people and families.
• Lead and supervise Band 7 systemic psychotherapists, providing clinical guidance and professional development.
• Offer consultation and advice to CAMHS colleagues, multi‑agency partners and carers.
• Contribute to service development, research, audit and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, training sessions and audit activities.

Required profile

• Masters‑level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy.
• Registration with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
• Significant post‑qualification experience in systemic practice.
• Advanced skills in clinical leadership, supervision and multi‑agency collaboration.
• Ability to work autonomously within a community CAMHS team.
