Bank Activities Co-ordinator

About the role

Queensway House, a care home run by Gold Care Homes in Hemel Hempstead, is looking for a Bank Activities Co-ordinator. The post holder plans and organises activities for all residents throughout the day, supporting their social, intellectual and spiritual well-being through activity, interests and participation. Extra hours may occasionally be needed for outings and events.

Key responsibilities

• Build friendships with residents to help them settle into life in the care home.
• Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all residents professionally.
• Plan daytime and evening activities and coordinate the programme with other services in the facility.
• Assess residents' needs, develop activity goals for the written care plan and encourage participation, documenting outcomes.
• Support individual, group and fundraising activities and help residents achieve their aspirations.
• Maintain good communication with the Manager, Senior Care Assistants, Chef and relatives, and support team working.
• Keep records to a satisfactory standard, agreeing type and quantity with the manager monthly.
• Protect resident and staff rights and confidentiality, and stay aware of Health and Safety requirements.
• Provide backup for all staff and carry out additional duties and training as requested.
