About the role
As a Bank Care Assistant in a Barchester care home you will support residents to enjoy each day by providing high‑quality personal care and companionship. Working on a flexible, as‑needed basis you will help with daily living activities, follow individual care plans and ensure each resident receives one‑to‑one attention.
Key responsibilities
- Assist residents with meals, hydration and personal hygiene.
- Deliver care in line with each resident’s care plan, including medication support where required.
- Provide social interaction and companionship, encouraging participation in activities.
- Cover shifts for annual leave, sick leave or other staffing gaps.
- Maintain accurate records of care delivered and report any changes in residents’ condition.
Required profile
- Previous experience caring for older adults.
- Positive, can‑do attitude and strong communication skills.
- Empathy, warmth and a genuine desire to support vulnerable people.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying shift patterns.
