Bank Chef – Residential Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Chef to join our team at Clarence Park Residential & Nursing Care Home. Working on a bank (zero‑hours) basis, you will prepare nutritious, enjoyable meals for up to 43 residents with complex health needs, helping to create a calm and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high‑quality meals that meet individual dietary and nutritional requirements.
• Adapt menus for modified or specialist diets, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen at all times.
• Contribute to menu planning and kitchen organisation.
• Collaborate with care staff to support residents’ overall wellbeing.

Required profile

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within a care or health setting.
• Understanding of dietary requirements and ability to follow clinical guidelines.
• Positive, reliable attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
