Bank Cook – Part‑time (Zero‑hour)

About the role

Agincare is seeking a Bank Cook to join its care home kitchen on a flexible, zero‑hour basis. You will prepare nutritious meals, support residents with specific dietary needs, and contribute to a high‑quality living environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and develop menus in collaboration with the home manager and residents.
• Prepare meals that meet dietary specifications, including modified textures and allergy considerations.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, stock control and hygiene standards.
• Support themed days and special events by creating creative dishes.
• Maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.
• Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
• Zero‑hour contract availability.
• Knowledge of the IDDSI framework is desirable.
