About the role

This casual, part‑time bank receptionist position is based in a Barchester care home in Maidstone. You will be the first point of contact for residents, families and visitors, helping to create a warm and welcoming environment while providing flexible cover for staff absences.

Key responsibilities

Answer incoming telephone calls and direct enquiries.
Greet and sign‑in visitors, ensuring a friendly reception area.
Show prospective residents and their families around the facility.
Perform basic administrative duties such as typing, photocopying and filing.
Maintain the reception desk tidy and organised.

Required profile

Professional, caring and courteous demeanor.
Well‑organised with a genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing.
Strong telephone etiquette and communication skills.
No formal qualifications required.
