Banking Representative – Front‑line Customer Service

About the role

Metro Bank is looking for a Banking Representative to be the friendly face of the branch in Bath. You will interact directly with customers, understand their needs and match them with the right products and services while delivering a high standard of customer care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑line customer service, answering queries and guiding customers to suitable banking solutions.
• Prioritise tasks in a fast‑moving environment and help the branch meet its daily objectives.
• Stay up‑to‑date with regulatory and non‑regulatory training to ensure compliance in all transactions.
• Identify and raise any risk or compliance concerns promptly.
• Support the Bristol store on occasional Saturdays, with compensatory time off and travel expense reimbursement.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build effective customer relationships in a high‑pace setting.
• Meticulous attention to detail, even under pressure.
• Strong understanding of the risks associated with banking activities.
• Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience handling customer service queries and working within controlled processes; prior banking experience is not mandatory.
