Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

About the role

We are looking for a confident and proactive Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Stockport from September 2026. The role focuses on delivering one‑to‑one behavioural support for Key Stage 1 pupils while also supporting other year groups to foster positive behaviour, engagement and inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioural support to KS1 pupils.
• Assist across additional year groups to promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Apply positive behaviour strategies and remain calm under pressure.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils.

Required profile

• Experience supporting children with behavioural, SEMH or SEND needs in a primary setting.
• Confidence delivering 1:1 behaviour support and adapting to different year groups.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
• Reliability, resilience, enthusiasm and a commitment to making a positive difference.
• Team Teach qualification (desirable).
