Bid Manager

About the role

Jackson Hogg is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the bid and tender process for complex engineering projects. You will own each submission from opportunity review to final proposal, ensuring timeliness, compliance, and commercial competitiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end bid and tender process for all approved opportunities.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to develop high‑quality technical and commercial proposals.
• Review opportunities, assess effort required and secure internal approvals.
• Ensure bids meet customer requirements, internal governance and industry standards.
• Analyse costs and pricing to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
• Maintain an accurate bid pipeline and provide KPI reporting to senior management.
• Present bid reviews internally and support customer meetings and presentations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase win rates.

Required profile

• Degree or HNC in an Engineering or Technical discipline.
• Proven experience managing bids, tenders and technical proposals in an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to analyse costs.
• Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to demanding deadlines and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
