BMS Technician

About the role

The BMS Technician will ensure cost‑efficient operation of building environmental control systems across the hospital estate. You will support the Senior Management Team by maintaining compliance with Health Technical Memorandum standards and guaranteeing safe, reliable performance of all plant and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, program, troubleshoot and repair Building Management System (BMS) equipment.
• Monitor and optimise BMS performance for HVAC and water systems.
• Maintain critical equipment including BMS, plant control, energy monitoring and ventilation systems.
• Develop and uphold testing, maintenance and repair schedules for all BMS installations.
• Program BMS control sequences and refine operations to meet equipment specifications.

Required profile

• Experience working with building environmental control systems in a healthcare or large‑facility setting.
• Knowledge of Health Technical Memorandum requirements and BMS compliance.
• Ability to work independently and support senior management in safe plant operation.
