Bookkeeper – Marketing Agency (Hybrid, £30k-£38k)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Bookkeeper to join a growing fundraising marketing agency in Woking. The role is hybrid, offering four days in the office (reduced to two after probation) and provides hands‑on involvement across the full spectrum of finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple entities, prepare RTI returns and manage pension uploads.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance.
• Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate records in Xero.
• Review, approve and process employee expense claims.
• Handle supplier invoices and support payment runs.
• Assist with month‑end close, including reconciliations, journal entries and reporting.
• Provide operational finance support across the business and identify process improvements.
• Maintain bookkeeping activities for several entities using Xero, BrightPay and Pleo.

Required profile

• Strong bookkeeping or transactional finance background.
• Experience managing VAT, payroll and day‑to‑day finance processes.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to work independently within a collaborative team.
• Comfortable working across multiple entities and adapting to a fast‑growing environment.
