Branch Manager & Senior Family Solicitor (5+ PQE)

About the role

Our client, a national family law firm, is launching a new office in Cirencester and needs an experienced solicitor to lead the practice. This hybrid position combines a high‑value family law caseload with full responsibility for setting up and growing the branch.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload covering divorce, financial remedy, private children work and domestic abuse matters.
• Lead the establishment and development of the new branch, including premises set‑up and local marketing.
• Recruit, mentor and supervise legal and support staff as the team expands.
• Drive business development and build strong relationships with local professionals and clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and firm‑wide policies.
• Contribute to the strategic growth and profitability of the office.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience in family law.
• Proven ability to handle both privately funded and legal‑aid family matters.
• Demonstrated leadership or clear readiness to take on a managerial role.
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development.
• Excellent interpersonal and client‑care skills, organised and able to work autonomously.
