Building Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Manager to take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day operational management of a Grade A commercial building in Manchester City Centre. The role involves maintaining high standards, managing budgets and ensuring statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a 100,000 sq ft Grade A office building.
• Produce and manage the service charge budget.
• Ensure all statutory health, safety and compliance requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with occupiers, contractors and senior stakeholders.
• Coordinate tenant events and initiatives with external partners.
• Drive continuous improvement in operational performance and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a high‑profile commercial property for a managing agent or as an Assistant Building Manager.
• Strong background in service charge budgeting, contractor management and statutory compliance.
• Customer‑focused with excellent relationship‑building skills.
• Relevant health & safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) and membership of an industry body (IWFM or RICS) is advantageous.
