Building Surveyor – Property Reinstatement (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to lead the reinstatement of commercial properties after damage. The position is based in London with a hybrid working model, handling projects ranging from £50k to £5m.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage property reinstatement projects from assessment to completion.
• Attend sites to conduct technical assessments and investigate claims.
• Determine causation, diagnose defects, and assess policy liability.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive ABI reports with findings and recommendations.
• Oversee complex repair schemes, including sub‑structure and super‑structure works.
• Liaise with contractors, external suppliers, and the Contractor Network.
• Review claims, manage variations, and decline unsuitable claims.

Required profile

• Prior experience in subsidence assessment or loss adjusting.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB or C.BuildE (preferred but not essential).
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills.
