Business Analyst – Secure Government & Defence (London, Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in UK government, defence or intelligence environments to join a fast‑growing consultancy. Based in London on a hybrid basis, you will have immediate influence on mission‑critical digital delivery programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead requirements discovery, analysing and validating business, user, data and technical needs across complex programmes.
• Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps for engineering, design and data teams.
• Own and continuously refine product backlogs, supporting prioritisation with product owners.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and governance forums to achieve shared decisions.
• Participate in all Agile ceremonies – sprint planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives – and drive continuous improvement.
• Bridge the gap between business intent and technical delivery, managing dependencies and change.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in UK security, intelligence, defence or classified government settings.
• Strong background in business analysis, product management and Agile delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
• Hands‑on experience with Scrum or Kanban, sprint ceremonies and backlog management.
• Ability to engage, challenge and facilitate both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable collaborating with software engineering, data, DevOps and UX teams.
• Experience in workflow analysis, business rules capture and requirements traceability.
