Business Development Executive – Inbound Group Travel (Italian Speaking)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to join our inbound group travel team in Edinburgh. You will focus on promoting Scotland and the wider UK & Ireland to international clients, creating compelling itineraries and turning enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Create competitive and creative group travel proposals that showcase Scotland’s attractions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients and local suppliers.
• Negotiate rates, maximise commercial opportunities and ensure profitable outcomes.
• Manage enquiries from quotation through to confirmation, coordinating with operations for seamless delivery.
• Collaborate with the operations team to deliver exceptional group experiences.

Required profile

• Fluency in Italian and excellent English communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with an inbound tour operator or DMC.
• Strong knowledge of Scotland as a travel destination.
• Proven ability in costing, quoting and managing group travel.
• Commercial awareness, negotiation ability and a proactive, customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with Tourplan or a similar travel management system.
