Business Development Manager – Asset Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our Asset Finance Vendor Development function within the Leasing division of a market‑leading commercial finance provider. You will work closely with the Senior BDM Vendor to grow vendor programmes, drive profitability and expand into new industry sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve vendor sales and profitability targets across designated OEMs, suppliers, retailers and intermediaries.
• Partner with the Senior BDM Vendor to design and launch new vendor programmes, conduct market research and secure internal buy‑in.
• Drive adoption of new technology, including an internal portal, to accelerate decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Sales Support, Pay Out & Activations to ensure smooth end‑to‑end business processes.
• Work with Risk and Collections teams to manage defaults and protect profitability.
• Secure at‑risk assets and support efficient disposal when required.
• Focus on hunting new vendor opportunities while supporting Account Management BDMs.
• Contribute to senior‑level strategy, policy and culture development across the business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a field‑based Asset Finance sales role.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
