Business Development Manager – B2B Marketplace

About the role

Join Gumtree’s high‑impact sales team as a Business Development Manager and help shape the future of its B2B marketplace. You will sell the benefits of using Gumtree’s platform to businesses across Cars, Home Services, For Sale and Property categories, working in a hybrid environment with three days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new B2B customers through outbound outreach and market research.
• Present Gumtree’s value proposition, negotiate terms and close deals that drive revenue growth.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing and post‑sale relationship building.
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to tailor offerings to client needs.
• Track performance against targets and report pipeline metrics to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a high‑volume, outbound environment.
• Experience managing the complete sales process, from lead generation to closing.
• Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to understand and address client business challenges.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently within a hybrid setting.
