About the role
Rexel is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth and increase market share within a defined segment or product specialization. Based in the Glasgow cluster, you will work closely with branch teams to build strong customer partnerships and generate new pipeline opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a data‑driven strategic roadmap to expand market share in a specific geography or product group.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of customer partnerships and strategic relationships.
- Create tailored value propositions using preferred suppliers to drive innovation and profitability.
- Manage regional pricing, margins and contract profitability.
- Adapt strategies to market changes and promote multichannel adoption.
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and on‑time delivery through collaboration with internal experts.
- Upskill internal teams, define clear account ownership and conduct regular performance reviews.
Required profile
- Strong collaborative mindset with a proven ability to build partnerships.
- Results‑oriented attitude focused on achieving growth targets.
- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
