Business Development Manager – Industrial & Commercial Utility Connections

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager with strong experience in industrial and commercial utility connections. The role focuses on securing new utility connections, building relationships across the I&C market, and achieving commercial targets. This position is remote within the North of England, with travel required to meet clients and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and convert new business opportunities in water, gas, and electricity utility connections.
• Drive growth across industrial and commercial (I&C) markets.
• Build and manage client and partner relationships.
• Identify, qualify, and progress leads.
• Negotiate commercial agreements.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in new utility connections (gas, electricity, water).
• Strong background selling to industrial and commercial sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to sell new utility connections to the I&C market.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and results‑driven.
• Existing network in the sector is preferred.
