Business Development Manager – Mortgage Intermediary Sales

About the role

Our client, a customer‑centric residential and BTL mortgage and savings provider, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Intermediary Sales team. You will work hybrid, attending the Cambridge office once a week, and will support brokers across England & Wales with complex mortgage enquiries, product solutions and case management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with mortgage intermediaries via face‑to‑face, Teams and telephone.
• Provide expert support on lending criteria, products and complex case enquiries.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and drive conversions from application to completion.
• Assist the telephone BDM team with criteria queries and case management.
• Attend industry events, roadshows and occasional overnight stays.

Required profile

• CEMAP qualification or equivalent.
• Recent experience in the mortgage or intermediary lending market.
• Background in a building society, IFA or non‑vanilla banking mortgage environment is a plus.
• Experience in sales, telephone BDM, advising, underwriting, broker support or relationship management.
• Strong understanding of complex residential and Buy‑to‑Let mortgage products and the application journey.
