Business Development Manager – Roofing Sector

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established supplier of construction materials to appoint a Business Development Manager for the roofing sector. This field‑based role covers the UK North territory and focuses on generating new business while strengthening existing relationships with contractors, distributors and specification partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new opportunities with roofing contractors, main contractors, architects and distribution partners.
• Promote and sell roofing systems and related product solutions.
• Develop and execute a structured territory sales plan to meet revenue targets.
• Track project pipelines from specification through to order placement.
• Provide commercial and technical support to customers across the territory.
• Engage architects, consultants and specifiers to achieve product specification on projects.
• Deliver CPD presentations, product demonstrations and technical guidance.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends within the flat‑roofing sector.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction materials sales, preferably within roofing or building‑envelope systems.
• Knowledge of EPDM flat roofing membranes or similar technologies.
• Experience working with contractors, installers and distribution networks.
