Business Development Manager – Technical Sales

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive technical sales for a leading manufacturer of plastic injection‑moulded parts. The role focuses on expanding the client base across multiple industrial sectors while supporting two UK manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• nurture and grow existing customer relationships across automotive, HVAC, industrial, medical, defence and consumer product markets
• identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve revenue growth for the Gloucestershire and Wiltshire sites
• manage the full sales cycle, from enquiry to contract, in line with industrial procurement processes
• conduct regular customer visits and maintain continuous dialogue with the commercial team
• work autonomously, leveraging remote working tools while travelling to key customers as required

Required profile

• proven track record of selling technical products or manufacturing services to industrial customers
• confident in building relationships with both new and existing clients
• experience in plastics manufacturing, preferably injection moulding, or strong background in technical/engineering sales
• ambitious, self‑motivated and able to operate independently
