Business Development Manager (UKI)

About the role

Freshworks is scaling rapidly toward a $1B+ valuation and needs a data‑driven Business Development Manager to lead its UKI market expansion. This is a player‑coach position where you will design sales playbooks, master the latest AI‑enabled sales tech, and inspire a team of Business Development Managers to capture new opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive inbound and outbound sales development activities and generate qualified opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to align on regional territory plans.
• Train, mentor and lead a team of Business Development Managers, ensuring effective time management and script customization.
• Conduct weekly team meetings and one‑on‑ones to track progress against targets.
• Provide detailed performance analysis, forecasting, and reporting to sales leadership.
• Partner with Marketing to shape campaign strategies and feed real‑world prospect insights.
• Implement an AI‑first go‑to‑market approach using automation, intent data, and buying signals.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience building and leading business development or sales teams.
• Strong data‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
• Ability to coach and motivate a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills across sales, marketing, and product functions.
